Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Passwidget is an adware program that removes asterisks concealing your password as a 'feature' to allow you to type in login data easily. Since this feature doesn't provide much of a benefit to the user compared to the drawback of Passwidget displaying advertisements automatically, malware researchers suggest deleting Passwidget as a standard for keeping your browser safe. Advertisements provided by Passwidget and other questionable add-ons are frequent sources of fraudulent download packages and other PC threats, and the complete removal of all of Passwidget's browser changes is uncertain without the use of appropriate security software.
You Shall Not Pass... without Watching an Advertisement
The Internet is rife with browser add-ons that are eager to offer drawbacks to your browser with as few meaningful benefits as possible, and Passwidget has joined them as another confirmed example of a poor business strategy in action. Although Passwidget's ability to remove password login asterisks may enable you to type your passwords more easily, malware experts also would consider Passwidget a security risk and have found that the disadvantages inherent in such features outweigh their trivial benefits. Even if that were all that Passwidget did, its removal would be recommended. Depressingly, Passwidget also has been confirmed to include the definitive traits of an adware program.
As adware, Passwidget may modify Web pages when your browser loads them, all to allow Passwidget to insert new advertisements unrelated to the original Web content. Even in the best of cases, this may slow your browser's loading times and interfere with default site interfaces. Perhaps most suspiciously of all, Passwidget's user agreement disavows Passwidget's company of any liability in the event of your browser being exposed to unsafe content, which is exactly the kind of content malware analysts would worry over the most, when it comes to advertisement networks promoted through disreputable browser add-ons. Even if it's unintentional, you should be cautious about the potential for unreliable Passwidget advertisements, including compromised software updates and other common lures for the installation of threats.
The Only Widgets You Need to Get Past a Passwidget
The numerous potential security problems associated with Passwidget make deleting Passwidget a very obvious step for ensuring your continued safety while you browse the Web, and malware experts always would recommend it. Although installing Passwidget through its site is entirely within the range of possibilities, multiple-program bundles on free software sites that install Passwidget surreptitiously are most likely to be your first encounter with this browser add-on. Passwidget also is confirmed as able to affect most major browsers.
If you've any doubt about whether or not Passwidget has been uninstalled, using anti-malware programs to clean up after Passwidget or even remove Passwidget in the first place is encouraged as a good PC security practice. Other ways to help make Passwidget's removal as fast and efficient as possible are to use Safe Mode and keep your browser closed during the uninstallation. For most Potentially Unwanted Programs like Passwidget, any additional measures are unnecessary, although not harmful.
