PasswordView is a piece of software that installs itself as a Web browser extension that may be compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. PasswordView is supposed to provide users with the ability to reveal their remembered passwords quickly by replacing the asterisk symbols with symbols. However, PasswordView may pose a security risk, because passwords are hidden with asterisk signs for a reason, and revealing them may allow observers to see your saved passwords. Even if you want to view our remember passwords, you don't have to use PasswordView to do this! All modern Web browsers allow users to reveal their passwords by simply going to the settings menu. Apart from being useless and potentially unsafe, PasswordView can also be very annoying! This extension is classified as adware, and its installation will bring a large number of ads to your active Web browser windows. The advertising techniques PasswordView utilizes may cover up important parts of the website you browse, therefore preventing you from accessing the information you seek. The PasswordView extension may be distributed via software bundling, and many of these software bundles may use misleading installation instructions and other deceptive tricks to install PasswordView without the user's knowledge. If you have the PasswordView extension installed, you should remove it to improve your Web browser's safety and get rid of the annoying ads PasswordView may introduce immediately. The manual removal of PasswordView may not eliminate all files, and that's why we recommend that you use a reliable anti-malware scanner to remove the PasswordView's files and components.
