The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:

High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

PcRegBoost is a Potentially Unwanted Program that works as a PC optimization utility. The software is the product of iNext IT Networks Ltd, a publisher whose name does not appear to be linked to any other PC utilities. It is important to note that users who are more observant may end up not installing PcRegBoost at all since the application's website states the terms & conditions of using the software clearly. Users who opt to download the program from there will acquire the trial version, which is unable to fix any of the identified issues. It just serves as a scanning and reporting utility that can give users an idea about the condition of their computers, and how badly it needs to be optimized. If a user is worried by the results and wishes to use the full features of PcRegBoost, then they will be required to purchase a premium plan which, according to PcRegBoost's website, comes at different prices for a year-long subscription.
Users who opt to leave the trial version installed on their computers may see reminders that their computers need optimization occasionally. While this is not harmful, some users might be annoyed by these subtle alerts, and end up deciding to remove PcRegBoost. If you are in for PcRegBoost's removal, then you'll be glad to hear that performing this task does not require the use of security software necessarily. Removing PcRegBoost manually is possible, but if you want to be extra sure that all files and Registry entries related to the PUP will be wiped, then we recommend using an anti-malware scanner to perform the operation.
