The PignoratebelFen is a Trojan clicker whose purpose is to work on the victim's computer silently to utilize its hardware and network resources to visit multiple websites filled with advertisements swiftly. By doing so, the PignoratebelFen Clicker can generate money for the people affiliated with the said ads. However, while this action might not be unsafe, it is important to note that the PignoratebelFen Clicker's operations often consume a significant amount of system resources, and this may cause performance troubles, as well as issues with the user's Internet connection.
It is not clear how the PignoratebelFen Clicker is being spread, but it is likely that its authors rely on fake downloads, fake updates, pirated software, and Trojan droppers to acquire more victims. Once the PignoratebelFen Clicker has been deployed and launched successfully, it will create a Windows Service to ensure that the program will continue to work after the computer has been restarted. The sample of the PignoratebelFen Clicker that SpywareRemove.com researchers came across uses three executable files to carry out its shady tasks - the PignoratebelFen.exe, the PignoratebelFen_.exe, or PignorateU.exe. While these processes are active, the clicker will open hidden copies of Internet Explorer automatically and use them to browse a pre-defined list of pages that host the aforementioned advertisements.
Since the PignoratebelFen Clicker does not exhibit unsafe behavior, users might not notice there is something wrong with their computers. In fact, many people whose computers are being exploited by the PignoratebelFen Clicker might not even know that this is happening. The best way to stay safe from stealthy low-level threats like the PignoratebelFen Clicker is to make sure that you have installed a reputable anti-malware software suite, which will keep you protected at all times.
