Police-save.empirehydrogen.org is a suspicious and possibly damaging website that may be used by attackers to distribute a variety of ransomware to compromised PCs. Police-save.empirehydrogen.org may be related to malware threats such as browser hijackers and Trojans. A relevant 'Police' ransomlock Trojan blocks a computer system and all the Web browsers installed on the PC such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, shows a bogus police warning message allegedly sent by legal security institutions and asks a victim for a supposed fine to be paid to restore access to the computer and Web browser. The bogus police warning message shown on Police-save.empirehydrogen.org claims that a computer user has executed numerous cybercrime actions and, thus, breached certain copyright or similar laws. Browser hijackers may also unwillingly divert computer users to Police-save.empirehydrogen.org or similar fabricated police websites that may be used to spread ransomware.
