Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

PopDown is a suspicious program that misleads the clients about its functionality. This tool promises to prevent the loading of all annoying pop-ups, which may disturb your online sessions. In reality, PopDown doesn't achieve what it claims to do. Quite ironically, this add-on serves as adware and inserts its pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads to the pages you are viewing. The only difference is that PopDown replaces the page-based pop-ups with others, which lead to its own partners. This way, all the referral commissions go directly to the developers of this adware. You should know that the commercial materials made by this add-on cannot be classified as "safe". The companies that develop adware typically don't spend too much time to see if their partners are legitimate. As a result, the commercial materials by PopDown may sometimes redirect you to fraudulent or potentially malicious pages. Even if the pop-ups and banners lead you to some seemingly safe e-commerce platform, you can never be sure that it will not try to scam you. Another pretty disturbing aspect of PopDown is that it may lead to speed drops, freezes and even crashes of the web client. All in all, not only will this adware most likely not help you with your online shopping, but it may ruin your surfing sessions. Not all clients of this suspicious application download it willingly. It sometimes evades the attention of the PC users, cleverly concealed in software bundles. After it receives permission for installation, PopDown may affect time Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same. Therefore, it is better to scan your PC with advanced security software if you don't want to see these commercial materials.
