The Power Clean Pro 2019 claims to be a powerful system optimizer for Windows that can bring a system to its optimal state by removing malware threats, cleaning the Registry, fixing start-up errors and various other issues and enhancing the overall PC’s performance. In fact, the Power Clean Pro 2019 is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that can be put into the category of the scareware type of threats. The executable file through which it operates is named “pcposetup.exe.” This malware pretends to perform scans on the infected system and then displays fake and misleading results in which it claims to have found numerous, severe security issues that need to be fixed immediately. By simulating malware detections, the Power Clean Pro 2019 attempts to trick the user into purchasing a rogue anti-virus application that can make the PC vulnerable to additional malware attacks.

The main symptoms of Power Clean Pro 2019 infection are the unexpected appearance on the screen of system scans, warning messages and alerts, as well as the increased amounts of advertisements and redirects to dubious websites on the Internet. In the background, this PUP prevents the operating system from working properly and corrupts the Windows Registry.

The Power Clean Pro 2019 spreads through software bundling. However, the harmful tool also can be downloaded from its official website where its developers market it as “the world’s most liked and preferred PC protection utility.” Users who detect the Power Clean Pro 2019 on their computers should remove it immediately either manually or through a reputable malware removal tool.
