ScreenshotProtectPcs is a malicious anti-spyware application from the Winisoft family. ProtectPcs is installed when a video codec is downloaded or an update for a flash player is installed. ProtectPcs uses Trojans to configure the Windows registry to produce a system scan every time Windows is turned on. These Trojans create files which are later recognized as threats by the fake software. ProtectPcs should be terminated immediately once detected.
