PUP.BrowSec is detected as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) that is often installed on users machine inadvertedly; for example, when users download free content they use a download and install manager that often bundles it with such PUPs. PUP.BrowSec adware may switch browsers' default search engine and homepage, as well as change other browser settings. Moreover, PUP.BrowSec might cause browsers to generate loads of advertisements that may drive you crazy and disrupt normal browsing activities. PUP.BrowSec is technically not a virus, yet anti-virus and anti-malware programs fail to detect it sometimes.
