Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The FastAgain PC Booster is a rogue system optimizer that fakes 'cleaning' your PC when the FastAgain PC Booster actually is designed for causing problems that may range from minor security issues to preventing your operating system from starting. Fake system optimizers like the FastAgain PC Booster never should be purchased, and, no matter how the FastAgain PC Booster came to be on your computer, malware researchers encourage using real PC security tools to remove the FastAgain PC Booster, as with any threat.
Watching Others Get Scammed Again by the FastAgain PC Booster
The FastAgain PC Booster is a continuation of an age-old tactic well used on the Internet: a fake system-optimizing product that pretends to clean your Registry and offer other services to enhance your PC's stability. While the FastAgain PC Booster's appearance is in keeping with that of a legitimate Registry cleaner, malware experts have confirmed that the FastAgain PC Booster lacks any real features for cleaning your Registry, defragmenting your hard drive or performing other optimization services. However, the FastAgain PC Booster will pretend that the FastAgain PC Booster is attempting to 'fix' your PC, with repairs unable to be finalized until an additional sum is paid. Upon contacting the FastAgain PC Booster's tech support, victims have reported being extorted for even more money, up to values of three hundred dollars.
The FastAgain PC Booster's misleading strategy has been ongoing since, at least, 2012, with its software promoted at the fastagain.activeris.com website. In addition to the fraudulent system information provided by the FastAgain PC Booster, malware experts also have observed other symptoms in different cases of infections. These symptoms may range from system slowdowns, blocked programs and disabled security features up to a total inability to launch Windows. The FastAgain PC Booster, therefore, is officially classified as a threat, although most PC security companies have yet to blacklist the FastAgain PC Booster's associated Web domain.
Boosting Yourself out of Con by the FastAgain PC Booster
The FastAgain PC Booster provides a good example of why you shouldn't trust minor third party sites that claim to be partnered with Microsoft, as well as a reason to be educated on the benefits and limitations of real system-optimizing products.
The FastAgain PC Booster does have uninstallation instructions available on its site, which, unsurprisingly, malware researchers have noticed to be nonfunctional. Because it's rarely safe to trust criminals to allow their own illegal software to be uninstalled, deleting the FastAgain PC Booster should use third party anti-malware products, preferably, ones that are up-to-date and have good records against all similar scamware products.
