Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

PUP.NetLiker (or simply NetLiker) is a Potentially Unwanted Program that makes various modifications to your browser. According to its marketing, PUP.NetLiker's changes are for your benefit, but malware researchers have taken notice of some substantial performance issues related to PUP.NetLiker, as well as noting that its positive functions tend to be less positive than one would assume. Even when one discounts the liabilities involved with the PUP.NetLiker as a browser add-on, its potential for being a minor security risk always makes it intelligent to remove PUP.NetLiker within a reasonably quick time frame after its (most likely unasked for) installation.
The Pup that Gets Its Paws All Over Your Browser
Despite their shared functionality, adware programs appear in all sizes and shapes, from basic shopping utilities to multi-purpose add-ons like PUP.NetLiker. PUP.NetLiker may make numerous changes to your Web browser, including suggesting keywords, adding options for embedded website frames and other features that appear to focus on giving you increased access to popular sites. However, the practical benefits of PUP.NetLiker's features are less than they'd seem at a glance, and malware experts also confirmed that, under many conditions, affected browsers may suffer from significant lag in loading times.
The hopefully unintentional inconvenience of PUP.NetLiker is somewhat less than its intended inconveniences, however. PUP.NetLiker's financing is provided courtesy of the advertisements PUP.NetLiker displays in your browser. Although malware experts confirmed that PUP.NetLiker eschews traditional pop-up advertisements, PUP.NetLiker does display other types of advertisements that are injected into Web pages as they're loaded. Like other advertisements from sources with shaky security, PUP.NetLiker advertisements may be exploited to attack your PC, and you should take care to avoid any downloads from PUP.NetLiker advertisements that may be misrepresenting their software.
Licking the PUP.NetLiker Predicament
Despite its wide range of minor functions, removing PUP.NetLiker isn't that much different as with any other adware-derived PUP. Most good anti-malware and anti-adware products should be able to delete PUP.NetLiker easily, although your browser shouldn't be open during the operation. Malware researchers also might recommend updating your scanners, if necessary, due to PUP.NetLiker being identified relatively recently.
