PUP.Verti is a potentially unwanted program that may compromise online searches for finding search results in numerous legitimate search engine websites, and change search results in any legal search provider to web-links directing computer users to suspicious advertisement websites. PUP.Verti may add an unwanted browser extension, add-on or plug-in for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer when computer users download and install other free software products. When Internet users install freeware and shareware applications, they may also install PUP.Verti on their PCs. When installed, PUP.Verti may take over an online search form on well-known search system websites and change it with its own. PC users may have the possibility to accomplish an online search via a certain dubious search provider website, receiving affiliate web-links from which the authors of the specific advertisement website may make money from raised traffic and click fraud. Computer users should always pay attention when installing free software products because often an application installer may include optional installs, such as PUP.Verti. Internet users should be careful what shareware and freeware applications they agree to install and always select for the custom install on their computer systems.
