Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

QkSee is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) whose installation may sometimes occur without the user's knowledge. Furthermore, QkSee doesn't have anything special to offer since it is just an average image-viewing utility that isn't better than the default Windows Picture & Fax Viewer. According to QkSee's official website, their software offers better image loading times, optimized resizing, an attractive and easy-to-use interface, as well as compatibility with a long list of image formats. However, all these claims are over-exaggerated, and users who install QkSee will not see any major improvements.
A peculiar fact is that the 'Download' button found on QkSee's official website is not working. Reputable and useful applications don't include dead download links on their websites, but this isn't a surprising fact considering that QkSee's favorite distribution method is software bundling, and very few people would visit QkSee's page to download the application. Software bundles are a commonly used method to monetize freeware applications, as well as to distribute less-known software to more people. Software bundles usually offer users the option to opt-out of the installation of QkSee, but many users might accept the offer and install QkSee on their computers mistakenly. When installed, QkSee may set itself as the default image viewing application, as well as launch a background service (QkSeesvc.exe) as soon as Windows is loaded.
If you don't find QkSee useful, then it is best to remove this application from your computer. The application is safe and uninstalling it via the Windows Control Panel should not leave any files behind. However, if you want to be 100% sure that QkSee was removed successfully, you should use an anti-malware scanner to erase it.
