Radsteroids is adware that conceals its advertising content behind premises of providing games for modifying the appearance of unrelated Web pages. Although Radsteroids is not entirely fraudulent, malware experts see sufficient reason to categorize Radsteroids as a PUP, and like other programs in this category, you should remove Radsteroids in any circumstance where Radsteroids interferes with your Web-browsing activities. Repetitive contact with the Radsteroids advertisement content may cause your PC to be exposed to threats, including disguised phishing attacks and other hoaxes that may distribute on advertisement networks with poor security.

What's not so Rad About Radsteroids Advertisements

Radsteroids is promoted and distributed at its website, radsteroids.com, but malware researchers also found Radsteroids to have a history of distribution by other, less than consensual methods, such as bundles with other applications and mislabeled download links. While a small number of PC security companies have categorized Radsteroids's site as unsafe, Radsteroids is not a threat; rather, Radsteroids is an advertising software. Radsteroids claims to provide features for allowing you to rearrange, deform and 'blow up' Web page content via an enhanced graphical layer, but may neglect to mention that these same functions also are used to load advertisements.

Radsteroids advertisements load automatically and may harm your ability to access some Web page content or browse the Web with minimal stuttering or other performance issues. More meaningfully than that, malware experts also connect adware like Radsteroids to frequent security hazards, which may include, at the extremes, exposure to threatening software (often via fake Flash updates and other, disguised attacks). Like other adware, Radsteroids also may ignore any normal advertisement-blocker programs installed to your browser, along with ignoring any browser settings that would block its content.

A Non-Radical Solution to a Radsteroids Problem

Radsteroids claims to be all fun and games, but has functions that are both detrimental to your PC's safety and are of limited benefit, even when ignoring the former fact. As a final warning, Radsteroids also historically fails to uninstall itself via normal software procedures, which forces malware analysts to encourage alternative methods for solving Radsteroids advertisements. Most browsers are affected by Radsteroids, including Chrome, IE and the somewhat lesser-targeted Firefox.

Programs specializing in the removal of Potentially Unwanted Programs, including adware and browser hijackers, should be able to identify and uninstall Radsteroids completely. Since Radsteroids advertisements may cause other, equally unhelpful programs to be installed (especially search engine hijackers and various toolbars), scanning your PC as soon as practical after noticing Radsteroids can help a minor collision with adware into exploding into a multiple-threat scenario. On a final note, although Radsteroids labels are downloaded with a Norton Security emblem, Radsteroids is not affiliated with nor endorsed by that PC security company.
