Redneckrepairs.com

Redneckrepairs.com is a Web page dedicated to displaying fraudulent messages whose goal is to convince you that you need to perform certain actions to view an embedded video. However, Redneckrepairs.com asks its visitors to press the 'Allow' button seen on top of the page – this button is not linked to video playback and, instead, it is meant to allow the website to display push notifications. While this change might not sound like much, you can rest assured that the consequences of accepting this offer will be very annoying – it will keep spamming you with browser notifications that promote all sorts of shady websites, products and services.

Usually, schemes like the one found on Redneckrepairs.com are very basic, but it seems that the administrators of this website have added an additional misleading message. On top of the fake video player and prompt to click 'Allow,' visitors also will see that they have only a few seconds to accept this; otherwise the video will become unplayable.

If you ever come across and unknown website that asks you to allow it to display notifications, then you should never accept this offer. Remember also not to follow the instructions that unknown websites spawn – they may sometimes try to mislead you into tampering with settings that should be left unchanged.
