Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

RelopiX is an adware product whose main purpose is to deliver new advertising content to your browser. Modifications to your browser to achieve this purpose may include changes to settings that allow RelopiX to alter the content of Web pages as they're loaded, or to load separate tabs and windows for its advertisements. While RelopiX isn't a threat, malware experts often see attacks related to threats being triggered through these kinds of advertising methods, and you may want to think of deleting RelopiX as a first and preferable choice if you lack any specific reasons for letting RelopiX remain installed.
RelopiX: When Your Participation in Advertising Stops Being Optional
RelopiX is considered a Potentially Unwanted Program, instead of a threat, due to its absence of direct attacks or criminal behavior. However, RelopiX and other small-time PUPs do continue to exhibit more than a random similarity to the threat industry, with a lack of overt marketing, honest distribution methods or software features with evenhanded ratios for their cost-to-benefit. True to the form of most other adware campaigns, the installation of RelopiXmay on your computer may occur when you try to install a bundled or specially-modified program from an untrustworthy source, such as an insecure freeware site or a torrent network.
After you've managed to install RelopiX while you were looking for another program entirely, malware researchers warn that you will run afoul of numerous browser changes that may be considered non-beneficial. These are expected to include:
- Pop-up advertisements and other windows that load separately from your browser's main window. They should be differentiated from normal, non-adware pop-ups, which sometimes are the result of visiting a specific website with excessive advertising content.
- Links that are injected into the text of any Web page content, such as the articles of blogs. RelopiX's links may be designed to look relevant to the topic of the Web page.
- Injected banners and any other graphics-based advertisements, which may substantially alter the Web page's viewing format, and may even block your access to some Web page elements.
- Interstitial advertisements, which temporarily 'take over' your browser window and load their content, usually when you try to navigate to another site.
Scratching an X Through a RelopiX Add-On You Never Wanted
Even though RelopiX doesn't warrant a classification as a Trojan or other high-level PC threat, RelopiX still has the potential to harm your PC by forcing your constant exposure to advertisements from suspicious sources. Malware researchers often see just such advertisements used to install threatening software through various vulnerabilities or steal information through common online hoaxes. The adware issues for RelopiX noted above also may be sources of general system instability and poor browser performance.
Adware like RelopiX that distributes itself through less than open methods never should be trusted to uninstall itself completely on request. For the sake of your Web browser's health, a good anti-malware or anti-adware program, specialized for the purpose of removing PUPs and/or threats, always should be considered the preferred method of removing RelopiX.
