SaleMaker is an adware-related browser extension for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and a BHO (Browser Helper Object) for Internet Explorer. The plugin uses pop-ups and inline-text advertisements such as 'Powered by SaleMaker' or 'Ads by SaleMaker'. Such ad-supported add-ons are not considered harmful like rootkits or backdoors, yet adware will annoy you with its endless pop-ups and redirects, preventing you from a normal web-browsing experience. SaleMaker is distributed in a bundle with other free applications, so it is advised that users are cautious when downloading freeware, and they carefully check the EULA (End User License Agreement). SaleMaker may change the default search engine of your browser and manipulate search results with the sole purpose of monetization. SaleMaker may flood your browsing screen with several offers, coupons, deals and price comparison after collecting your browsing habits.
