Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Search Dimension is a Web browser extension whose installation may lead to potentially unwanted changes to your Web browser's default settings. Users who opt to install this extension might be required to authorize it to modify their default new tab page to http://searchdimension.com – a domain used to host a simple search page that has a customizable background, as well as a handy weather widget that detects the user's current location and displays the weather forecast automatically.
The good news is that, while browser extensions of this sort may often promote dysfunctional websites, the situation with Search Dimension is different, and this software works as expected. In fact, some users might find the Search Dimension's features to be an enhancement to their Web browsing experience since the search page allows to switch between Google, Yahoo and Bing's results quickly. What is interesting about Search Dimension is what it claims to offer – according to its official download page, Search Dimension should provide users with a private way to search the Web, without logging their search queries and using this data for marketing purposes. However, it is not clear how well Search Dimension disguises this data, and users might want to think twice whether it is worth to use a browser extension that forces them to use a 3rd-party search page that is not very reputable.
Although Search Dimension works fine, for now, there's no guarantee that this will not change in the future. It is not uncommon for unpopular search engines like these to monetize their traffic by displaying advertisements on the search results page, therefore making the experience of their visitors worse than usual. If you have Search Dimension installed, and you don't wish to use this software or the page it promotes, then it is a good idea to take the required action to uninstall Search Dimension. Since it is always installed as a browser extension, it can be eliminated by uninstalling it from your Web browser's addon manager.
