The Search.hplayfreemusic.co new tab is linked to a browser add-on titled 'Play Free Music,' which is developed and distributed by Polarity Technologies LTD. This software publisher has a rich portfolio of various small extensions that claim to improve the functionality of the Web browsers by giving users easy access to various content. As the name 'Play Free Music' suggests, it is meant to provide users with instant access to online music streaming services. However, what is worth mentioning is that you should not install the 'Play Free Music' add-on to get access to the content it provides. The only important thing that this extension makes is to change the Chrome's default new tab to 'Search.hplayfreemusic.co.' This page hosts a search engine, as well as links to popular online media streaming sites such as Pandora, Spotify, YouTube and others. Instead of using a 3rd-party add-on that tampers with your browser's settings, you can simply use these services directly, therefore avoiding the changes that 'Play Free Music' is known to bring.
The 'Play Free Music' extension may bring more than the Search.hplayfreemusic.co new tab – users of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer might have their homepage set to Search.hplayfreemusic.co as well. If you are bothered by the changes that 'Play Free Music' brings and you'd like to revert your browser's settings, then you should take the necessary measures to uninstall the intrusive extension. This task can be accomplished manually, via the browser's extension manager, or with the help of a credible PC security tool, which is likely to detect 'Play Free Music' as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and recommend its removal.
