Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

MyStartab is a piece of software that works as a browser extension whose purpose is to introduce new features to the user's Web browser. Some of its features such as the radio player, media slider, and bookmark manager can be found at MyStartab's official website, and at first sight, they may seem like very useful tools. However, the installation of MyStartab may not always bring the desired results since this browser extension is known to cause unwanted changes to the settings of the Web browsers installed on the user's computer. One of the notable changes involves replacing a Web browser's default new tab page with Search.mystartab.com or Search.mystartabsearch.com, which are dubious search engines that use Yahoo to deliver search results.
Both the extension and the search engine it promotes are safe, and they are not able to cause any damage to your computer. Furthermore, there are no reports of Search.mystartab.com or Search.mystartabsearch.com being associated with any shady Web destinations or dubious applications. However, this doesn't modify the fact that the MyStartab extension is identified as a Potentially Unwanted program, and that its presence on most computers is undesired. If you notice the MyStartab extension installed or if you suddenly see Search.mystartab.com or Search.mystartabsearch.com whenever you open a new tab, then you should take the necessary measures to remove any of these unwanted programs. One way to deal with MyStartab is to navigate to the list of installed browser extensions and remove the entry labeled 'MyStartab.' A more delicate solution is to use an anti-malware scanner to check your computer and remove MyStartab, as well as any other suspicious files and Registry entries.
