Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Search.searchglnn.com is a low-quality search engine that may be set as your default new tab page by a dubious Web browser extension called 'Get Local News Now.' This browser extension is published by Safer Browser, a software development company whose name is often linked to Potentially Unwanted Programs, dubious browser extensions and annoying toolbars. The 'Get Local News Now' software isn't any different, and its primary purpose is to generate traffic for Search.searchglnn.com by setting this website as the default new tab page.
The search engine itself does not provide users with any valuable features. Its homepage does not include useful links or tools that can help users find more relevant content or access the latest news articles. The only thing users see is the search field, which, when used, delivers results via the Yahoo search engine. The Yahoo search results are legitimate, but why would you use a 3rd-party website like Search.searchglnn.com when you can get the same results by simply setting Yahoo.com as your default search engine or new tab page? Although users who install the 'Get Local News Now' extension are not installing anything threatening, they might want to think carefully whether this utility's features are worth the problems it may cause. Search.searchglnn.com may be set as the default new tab page automatically for as long as 'Get Local News Now' is installed, and the best way to resolve this issue is to uninstall the program responsible for the unwanted behavior. The removal of 'Get Local News Now' and Search.searchglnn.com can be performed via the list of installed browser extensions. An alternative removal technique is to use an anti-malware scanner since computer security software can deal with low-level threats such as adware.
