Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Search.searchutilities.co is a simple search page, which appears to be linked to a browser extension that goes by the name Search Utilities. This add-on is meant to enhance the user's browser by introducing a new search engine that is supposed to deliver more reliable and accurate results. Users who opt to install it may not know that it is meant to change their default new tab to Search.searchutilities.co. While we can't deny that Search.searchutilities.co is a useful search engine, you should keep in mind that it does not do anything special. The search feature redirects users to the Yahoo Search so that the results will not feature anything different compared to the ones you get from Yahoo. In addition to the search bar, Search.searchutilities.co also hosts a collection of links that lead users to popular websites such as Instagram, Amazon, eBay and others. While this may sound useful, you do not need to use Search.searchutilities.co to gain access to this feature – your browser's bookmarks can serve the same purpose.
We haven't detected any instances of Search.searchutilities.co being promoted via misleading ads or other dubious methods. The only way to have this add-on installed on your PC is to authorize its installation from the Chrome Store knowingly. The product is developed and published by Polarity Technologies LTD, a company whose name is linked to a relatively long list of Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs), and Search Utilities seems to be the latest entry to this list.
If you've installed Search Utilities, we advise you to take the necessary steps to remove it and revert the changes it might have applied to your computer. The removal can be completed either by uninstalling the entry from Chrome's settings or by running a trustworthy PC security scanner.
