Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Search Swapper is a Web add-on with adware features that you should not trust. In theory, Search Swapper should optimize your online searches. The developers of this suspicious application offer a variety of features, which some PC users may find interesting. Search Swapper is supposed to make your Web searches easier by letting you swap between various providers easily. However, you can make a bookmark toolbar that will let you open Google, Yahoo and Bing without the necessity of installing dubious third-party software like Search Swapper. Some users may load the adware because of a feature that should allow them to change the background of the search sites with an image of their choice. It may seem like an easy way to modify the shape of your search engines, but you should still think twice before agreeing to load Search Swapper. This ad-based extension comes with a range of side effects that may make your surfing sessions less enjoyable eventually. If Search Swapper appears all of a sudden and you have no clues how it entered, then Search Swapper might have come bundled with freeware. The experts urge you to use the 'Advanced' menu to opt-out of loading suggested additional programs that will otherwise enter automatically. Search Swapper may not affect only the main browser of the client. It may cause changes to all Web clients simultaneously, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Search Swapper may substitute your homepage with an alternative search provider that shows misleading results to make you visit affiliated pages. You also may notice an array of sponsored links when you use Google and Bing. Search Swapper may replace the normal page-based ads with its own commercial materials like pop-ups and banners. It is possible for some of these sponsored links to open potentially harmful platforms. You should not put at risk the security of your system, so you should consider not clicking on ads while the adware is present in your system seriously. The most efficient way to eliminate Search Swapper and restore the normal state of your browsers is to perform an in-depth scan with advanced security software.
