SearchZone

Posted: April 24, 2020

SearchZone is a browser extension that Windows users may end up installing because it promises to upgrade their ability to search and navigate the Web. Unfortunately, the installation of SearchZone will not result in any improvements and, instead, it may end up worsening your Web browsing experience by forcing you to use a 3rd-party search aggregator that you are not familiar with. One of the changes that SearchZone brings to the Web browser is setting the default search engine to Feed.search-zone.com – because of this change, all searches you initiate through the address bar will end up taking you to Feed.search-zone.com instead of to your favorite search engine.

Using the search features that SearchZone brings is not unsafe, but you should not expect Feed.search-zone.com to perform as well as credible search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo.

SearchZone is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) – software of this sort is not threatening, but it may sometimes be responsible for undesired changes to your computer's configuration. If you are dissatisfied with what SearchZone brought to your system, then we advise you to remove this application with the assistance of a suitable PC security tool.
