Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

SecureMyPCScanner is a component of the SecureMyPC scamware product, a rogue anti-spyware program that pretends to detect infections on your PC before requesting money for activation to remove them. Although SecureMyPCScanner (also known by its longer name, SecureMyPC Spyware Defense and Removal) will not fail to detect a wide range of serious PC threats, this is because SecureMyPCScanner finds infections where there aren't any via false positives, in some cases, even by detecting files that aren't on your hard drive at all! SpywareRemove.com malware experts recommend that you get rid of SecureMyPCScanner by using a real PC security program, since SecureMyPCScanner may also be the direct or indirect cause of other problems, such as browser hijackers and constricted access to software.
An Unflattering Scan Over SecureMyPCScanner's Capabilities
Although SecureMyPCScanner claims to 'break new ground in design and functionality,' this isn't true even of the features that SecureMyPCScanner actually has, let alone the features that SecureMyPCScanner pretends to possess. SpywareRemove.com malware experts chipped past SecureMyPCScanner's fraudulent marketing to find out what SecureMyPCScanner really does, and weren't pleased to find 'features' like the ones listed below:
- During its scans, SecureMyPCScanner will indicate that normal and even critical system files are actually threats to your PC.
- SecureMyPCScanner's scan results will also display a preset list of fake PC threats, even if they aren't on your computer at the time (or never were on your computer at all). This includes fake files from file-sharing programs such as BearShare and iMesh, as well as miscellaneous toolbars.
- SecureMyPCScanner pretends to define and categorize all of the PC threats that SecureMyPCScanner supposedly finds according to their type (spyware, adware, etc.) and risk level (low, moderate or high), but isn't capable of finding real infections.
- Finally, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers have found that even the purchasable version of SecureMyPCScanner, like many other scamware products, doesn't have the ability to remove actual infections from your PC. Instead of doing this, SecureMyPCScanner may simply shut down SecureMyPCScanner's fake infection alerts after you've purchased SecureMyPCScanner.
The Real Way to Secure Your PC... Against SecureMyPCScanner
Since SecureMyPCScanner and other components of SecureMyPC have no benefits to your computer, there's no reason to avoid removing SecureMyPCScanner with a suitable anti-malware program. Deleting SecureMyPCScanner by hand, while technically feasible, is prone to error and may, if done improperly, harm Windows. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers recommend that you use your chosen anti-malware product in Safe Mode and make sure that you have all relevant software updates before you proceed with a system scan.
You should never attempt to remove any files or Registry entries that SecureMyPCScanner tells you are infected, since this can result in direct harm to the OS and require that you reinstall Windows or other programs.
