High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

ShopGlider Deals is adware that provides advertising content that's marketed as a net benefit to your online shopping activities. It's up to you to determine how advantageous ShopGlider Deals's discounts are, but malware researchers have found it unlikely that ShopGlider Deals will provide more savings than security problems, based on its methodology for displaying advertisements. Like any Potentially Unwanted Program, deleting ShopGlider Deals does require a minor judgment call on the part of the PC's user, but, in most cases, you lose nothing of value, and gain a safer Web browser, by removing ShopGlider Deals and other adware with appropriate security tools.
The Add-On that Glides You to Advertisements You Probably weren't Asking to See
ShopGlider Deals is a simple add-on based on the premise of displaying alternative product offers from its advertisement partners, along with various shopping list functions. While malware experts have been able to verify any security procedures in use by ShopGlider Deals for selecting its affiliates, they also haven't noticed a history of intentional exploitation of these advertisement features by ShopGlider Deals. In the end, ShopGlider Deals's advertisements may show you useful deals, but they also are likely to risk exposing you to scams for stealing your confidential information and other PC threats that thrive in advertising environments. Rogue system optimizers and fake anti-malware products are particularly commonly-distributed through these attacks, although they're far from the only threat to use such an infection vector.
ShopGlider Deals also has featured some additional troubles in the 'shopping list' side of its features, with many of these functions being limited or unavailable to various versions of ShopGlider Deals. Most PC users report negative experiences from ShopGlider Deals, with complaints focusing on the complexity of ShopGlider Deals and its inclusion of features with questionable advantages. Malware researchers find this state of affairs common for adware like ShopGlider Deals, which adds weight to the recommendation of removing ShopGlider Deals in most circumstances.
Pulling out of ShopGlider Deals's Advertising-Fueled Tailspin
ShopGlider Deals isn't a threat, but does have traits that make its benefits to your browser highly questionable. Whenever you're in doubt about whether to allow ShopGlider Deals to remain on your browser or to be rid of ShopGlider Deals, removing ShopGlider Deals with a reliable PC security program with adware-detecting functions should be considered the safest response to ShopGlider Deals. Advertisements through ShopGlider Deals, besides being security problems, also may harm your browser's performance or cause basic accessibility issues that harm your ability to interact with other websites that are modified by ShopGlider Deals's advertisements.
At this point, malware researchers have confirmed ShopGlider Deals's compatibility with the Chrome browser. Other browsers are awaiting confirmation, but are just as vulnerable to similar shopping-based adware as Chrome is to ShopGlider Deals.
