Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Shop Now New Tab is yet another Google Chrome extension, which would offer you all kinds of wonders, but will fail to deliver much if any at all. You can find the Shop Now New Tab in the Chrome Web Store. This extension is offered by Newtabtools.com, a website known for developing Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs). In its description the Shop Now New Tab promises that it would improve your online shopping navigation by providing you with an easy and fast search feature and granting you access to the most popular online shops. The Shop Now New Tab also points out that it's a free service that requires no registration. However, nothing in life is free.
Despite the fact that this extension is not harmful or unsafe, the Shop Now New Tab may damage your browsing experience, instead of improving it. Its name, however, may not be misleading. This Chrome extension may replace your new tab page. The search tool offered by the Shop Now New Tab uses the Yahoo Search. The interface of the Shop Now New Tab isn't exactly a state of the art one. The layout is simplistic – white background, a search tab in the middle of the screen with eight buttons placed right under it, six of which link to popular shopping websites (like eBay, Amazon and Target), and two to social media websites (Facebook and Instagram). For some reason, the developers of the Shop Now New Tab also have provided the user with a clock in the top right corner of the page, even though we all have one in our bottom/top right corners anyway.
However, everything that the Shop Now New Tab extension offers is links to popular shopping websites, and there is no point in installing additional software like the Shop Now New Tab for something that is available readily as it is. It's recommended that you remove the Shop Now New Tab as it may not provide you with anything useful. This can be done easily through the Chrome Settings Panel manually, or you can use a reputable anti-malware application to get you free of this extension safely.
