Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

ShowPassword is an adware program that provides asterisk-disabling features for (your own) hidden passwords. Although ShowPassword does provide useful features, ShowPassword also injects advertisements into unrelated websites, which may interfere with your browser's ability to display other sites properly. The use of anti-malware products in ShowPassword's deletion usually should be treated as necessary for the overall safety of your PC.
Passwords aren't the Only Thing Shown by ShowPassword....
ShowPassword is a utility that lets you reveal your passwords as you type them into login fields, circumventing a basic security feature that prevents people from physically spying on what you type. Due to the limited application of this kind of vulnerability, malware experts don't necessarily discourage using ShowPassword if you find ShowPassword helpful, but they do warn that installing ShowPassword may come with some side effects that are completely unrelated to your ability to log into a profile.
Discounting its theoretically beneficial features, ShowPassword primarily interests malware experts for its browser-modifying adware functions. These functions inject advertisements into third party Web pages without allowing you any controls for disabling them. Because the original pages aren't intended to have these advertisements, this function may hinder your ability to interact with other sites. Advertisements are not guaranteed to be unsafe, but continuing to use any relevant browser security features always is suggested whenever you're interacting with advertisements from a source that hasn't been confirmed to be safe.
As a counterbalance to this negativity, ShowPassword does identify its advertisements clearly, allowing you to make an appropriate response to its new advertisements without forcing you to guess at the source of these browser changes. Unfortunately, malware researchers also note that ShowPassword sometimes is installed through third party sources, such as software bundles, that may make it easy to install ShowPassword without intent.
Showing ShowPassword the Door out of Your Browser
A Potentially Unwanted Program with supposedly helpful functions, like, ShowPassword always should be considered carefully for how its benefits weigh against its drawbacks – in this case, its advertisements and modifications to unrelated Web pages. In most circumstances, malware researchers consider the removal of adware to be the best approach for keeping your safe from unforeseen PC threats. If you've decided to remove ShowPassword, using anti-malware products to aid in the process or assist with cleaning up the remainder of ShowPassword's components, this can help provide a guarantee that your browser's unwanted changes have been reversed.
Since ShowPassword may be installed randomly, you should consider appropriate defenses against many non-consensual download methods preferred by similar adware programs. Software bundles and download sources from untrustworthy sources like disreputable freeware sites are the main means of adware distribution, but malware researchers also have found these kinds of PUPs installed through the functions of threats, such as Trojan downloaders.
