Solid YouTube Downloader and Converter is an application developed by TopVideoSoft that some PC users may gladly install, tempted by its features. Its developers state that this tool will make it possible to download videos from YouTube and convert them to a suitable file format. Since the famous video platform still doesn't offer such service, this program may seem a good choice. However, after a detailed analysis the experts notice that Solid YouTube Downloader and Converter behave in a way that most users don't expect. For this reason, the application is marked as Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The problem is that it inserts large quantities of unrequested advertising materials in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Although if you spend enough time to read all the information in the "Terms and Conditions" you may notice signs of this behavior, it is not a secret that people usually skip the details. These ads are nothing like the ones that you may be used to seeing. The new pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads are far more aggressive, and they may be seen on almost every site you land on. The PUP monitors your browsing history to get an idea of what may attract your attention, so the that ads may be accurate. You should not click on them for the sake of keeping your PC clean. If the commercial materials lead you to unsafe platforms, you may be encouraged to install highly questionable software. In addition, Solid YouTube Downloader and Converter may worsen the performance of the web clients, so you should seriously consider removing it and finding an alternative program.
