SrchUSk

SrchUSk is a bogus browser extension that may be promoted by website ads and pop-ups that promise users to provide them with the ability to search the Web privately, without revealing their search queries and preferences to marketing companies. In short, this is done to reduce the number of targeted ads the user sees, and this is supposed to be a good thing. However, users who opt to install SrchUSk may not experience a positive change. The only notable change that SrchUSk brings is that all searches performed through the address bar will be redirected through multiple domains before landing the user on a search results page provided by Yahoo.com

The domains to which SrchUSk redirects users through don't appear to host harmful content at the moment, but it is likely that this may change in the future. Currently, SrchUSk uses only two domains to redirect users through - privsearch.club and search.hr. It is likely that these domains redirect users to the Yahoo Search with one purpose – to generate money for their owners by displaying the Yahoo ads affiliated with them. This means that the true purpose of SrchUSk is to help its authors monetize their content, instead of enhancing the privacy of the user.

If you wish to remove SrchUSk, you should open your Web browser's addon manager and remove the 'SrchUSk' entry from there. It is also possible to deal with the issue by running a trustworthy anti-malware program.
