The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.

The Star Trail Tab Extension is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), which might be promoted as a Chrome extension that offers you the opportunity to enjoy a fancier and more functional new tab page whenever you use your Web browser. While this may sound good at first, add-ons like this one often have a hidden purpose, which is not unsafe, but might turn out to be rather annoying for some users. The true purpose of the Star Trail Tab Extension is to bring traffic to the 3rd-party website that will be set as the default new tab page, therefore boosting the ad revenue this website is able to bring to the owner.
Although the new tab page might provide some useful links and information, it is certainly not recommended to use a website that is not trustworthy. While the Star Trail Tab Extension's new tab page might work properly, for now, there's no way to say for sure if this is not going to change in the neat future. Currently, the website provides users with the local weather conditions, a customizable background, as well as an array of links to popular websites.
When the users opt to install the Star Trail Tab Extension from the official Chrome Store page, they might be prompted to authorize the software to modify their bookmarks, collect their e-mail address, and change the configuration to include an alternative new tab page. Some of these permissions seem unnecessary considering the Star Trail Tab Extension's purpose, so that's another good reason not to install this utility. If you have already added the Star Trail Tab Extension to your Chrome browser and you are not happy with what it offers, then we advise you to take care of its removal either manually or with the help of specialized PC security software
