Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

StreamX is a suspicious application that you may come across when you download free applications from the Internet. StreamX is advertised as a useful web browser extension that allows users to find and view online videos and other digital content that may be relevant to their interests. However, the StreamX browser extension isn't as entertaining as its authors claim it to be. In fact, StreamX is better known because of its ill reputation among anti-virus software vendors and that they identify StreamX as adware.
StreamX has an official website, but few users would download and install this utility from there. Instead, StreamX may rely on a propagation technique that is often utilized by adware – software bundling. Free software may be bundled with StreamX or other applications whose installation may be optional. However, many users may be tricked into installing StreamX because some software bundles may use misleading installation instructions whose primary purpose is to confuse the end-user. If StreamX is installed on your computer, you may notice 'StreamX Ads' in your web browser, but this is just one of the problems that StreamX may cause to your computer. Apart from displaying ads, StreamX also may use a tracking cookie to gather anonymous information about your online activities, frequently visited websites, browsing habits and other online data. The collected information is non-identifiable, but it may be used for marketing purposes such as enhancing the quality of the ads displayed by StreamX. The StreamX web browser extension isn't useful, and it should be removed as soon as you notice it. For a swift and efficient removal, our experts advise users to use a reliable anti-malware product.
