System Clean Pro

The System Clean Pro is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). This application would promise you the world. In theory, the System Clean Pro can enhance your PCs performance, scan Windows for Potentially Unwanted Programs (oh, the irony), detect malware, repair the system, and user-related problems, manage Startup Applications, Start Menu User Items and installed programs.

While the System Clean Pro may deliver on some of its promises, its usefulness is exaggerated greatly, and the chances are that you will not feel any performance improvement after using it. Not only will the System Clean Pro not provide you with all the features it boasts about, but it may play some dirty tricks on you. This PUP would pose as a free anti-malware tool, but its only free feature is to scan your machine and provide you with a report on potential threats detected. Here is where the problem lies: the report produced is hyperbolized hugely. The System Clean Pro would make you believe that there are hundreds of threats on your system. This is a social engineering tactic used to pressure the users into purchasing a license for their software, which would supposedly sweep in and save the day.

It is important to note that some legitimate anti-malware tools detect the System Clean Pro as a Potentially Unwanted Program and advise the users to remove it. Furthermore, Microsoft has posted numerous statements regarding the exaggerated efficiency of Registry cleaners and other Windows PC optimization utilities. While they may provide the user with easy tools to manage their software and startup items, it is unlikely that they will notice a performance gain.

It is advisable that you download and install a reputable security suite and remove the System Clean Pro from your computer.
