The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:

Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.

If you observe some persistent ads labeled as "Ads by ThinkDesktop", you should know there is adware in your system. In fact, even if you take your time to search for it intentionally, you will most likely not find a platform that hosts it. ThinkDesktop travels solely as a suggested additional component of various free programs. Unless you read the details during the setup process, you may not detect the presence of this adware. Once ThinkDesktop gets access, it will cause a few annoying changes to all of your browsers. As soon as you launch Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, you may notice that the homepage is some unknown search engine. You should not use it because its purpose is to redirect you to partner pages. Some of them may not correspond to your search query properly, but the bigger concern is that they may be potentially dangerous. For the same reason, you should be very careful when it comes to the new pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads. You may notice them in different parts of almost all websites you visit. This process may be very annoying as you may easily get distracted. The questionable extension may also lead to functionality problems with your browsers. They may start crashing once in a while, or the speed may drop significantly. Although it is easy to locate ThinkDesktop in the add-on manager of your Internet client, the removal process may be far more difficult. The experts suggest an advanced malware removal tool to make sure the adware will be deleted permanently.
