Thrangrycat
Thrangrycat has been found by computer security experts to be a flaw within millions of Cisco devices leaving them insecure and vulnerable to remote attacks. The Thrangrycat threat comes from the vulnerability CVE-2019-1649, which is unique to certain Cisco products that date back to 2013.
Among the Cisco systems vulnerable to the Thrangrycat attack, many are firewalls, routers, and even switches that allow bad actors or hackers to inject malware-based components into the devices and compromise them in certain ways.
The dangerous of the Thrangrycat flaw may be remedied by fixing the flaw before it can be exploited. Such an action will require a patch on the affected devices along with the potential use of antivirus or antimalware software.
