Home Malware Programs Browser Hijackers Tomki.pro

Tomki.pro

Posted: May 26, 2020

Tomki.pro is a Web page that displays a fake video player accompanied by a prompt, which urges the visitor to press 'Allow' to enable video playback. However, the true purpose of the prompt is to provide Tomki.pro with permissions to use browser notifications and, needless to say, you should not give this unknown website such permissions. Although the Tomki.pro notifications are not an immediate safety concern, you should know that the website may abuse your browser's notifications to flood you with irrelevant advertisements for potentially shady services, sites and products.

You are likely to end up seeing Tomki.pro's fake prompts in your browser while visiting shady websites. If you ever come across a Web browser pop-up that tries to trick you into clicking an 'Allow' button, then we advise you to read all on-screen prompts and messages carefully to make sure that you will not end up providing a random Web page with escalated permissions.

The good news is that if you see the Tomki.pro notifications, you can get rid of them rather easily. Just open your browser's settings menu, and disable all permissions for the domain Tomki.pro.
