The Track Packages Online is a browser extension maintained and distributed by Polarity Technologies LTD and Eightpoint Technologies LTD – two software publishers whose names may often be linked to various browser utilities that may perform questionable activities once installed. The case with the Track Packages Online is not that different, and multiple anti-virus product vendors have this software identified as a 'Potentially Unwanted Program' (PUP).

The Track Packages Online is promoted as an all-in-one tool that can be used to track orders from various delivery companies such as UPS, USPS, DHL, FedEx, etc. quickly. The tracking option, however, is not created or maintained by the software's publisher. Instead, the Track Packages Online may work by modifying the default new tab page of the Web browser and introducing a new website that features a search field, weather widget, popular page bookmarks, and a search option for orders and packages. Any input entered in the latter field will simply refer users to a 3rd-party page that can be used to the Track Packages Online. In short, the Track Packages Online does not offer anything unique and, instead, it simply refers users to free services available on the Web.

Since the Track Packages Online does not offer anything useful and may redirect users to a new tab page that they are not used to, there aren't any reasons to keep this software installed. The removal of the Track Packages Online is a task that can be carried out manually by using the Web browser's integrated extension manager.
