Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

TrafLab is a legitimate Russian company, which works with advertisers by charging them money to distribute their ads. While the majority of the TrafLab ads are legitimate, there have been reports that some users were encountering the TrafLab ads due to the presence of adware on their computer. The good news is that TrafLab's services appear to be rather legitimate so that it is likely that all advertisements are being checked for suspicious and harmful content thoroughly, and it is highly unlikely that users will encounter any threatening software due to being exposed to the TrafLab ads.
If you encounter the TrafLab ads in your Web browser, then this might mean two things – you either visited a website that is meant to promote TrafLab's advertisements, or you have adware installed on your computer. There isn't much to do in the first case, but if you are dealing with adware, then there's something you can do to dispose of the nagging ads. The good news is that adware is not unsafe, and usually, it serves only one purpose – to inject ads in active Web browser windows. The removal of adware is a task that can be a bit tricky if you attempt to carry it out manually, and this is why our advice is to use a reputable anti-malware application, which will identify and erase the adware's components automatically.
We also advise you to be more careful about the software you download from the Internet and also pay more attention to the installation instructions you are presented with while installing new applications. Adware is often spread via software bundles that prompt users to authorize the adware's installation. However, since many users rush through the installation process, they might end up accepting to install adware that will bring the TrafLab ads to their Web browser unknowingly.
