Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

TROJ_AGENT.BCPC is a Trojan downloader that installs adware (software that floods your PC with pop-up advertisements) without your consent. Because TROJ_AGENT.BCPC places some of its files in the default folder for your printer's spool, you may also experience your printer printing out long pages of gibberish; this symptom is also characteristic of similar PC threats like Trojan.Milicenso and TROJ_PONMOCOP. For the sake of your computer and your (undoubtedly expensive) printer cartridges, SpywareRemove.com malware experts recommend that you find and delete TROJ_AGENT.BCPC with anti-malware scans from suitable security programs. These scans should also be sufficiently thorough that they can catch TROJ_AGENT.BCPC's payload, which may be reconfigured to include other PC threats besides adware.
How TROJ_AGENT.BCPC Slunk Over to Your Printer
At the time of this writing, TROJ_AGENT.BCPC's infection vectors are all various forms of malicious sites, including forums and sites that exploit Google search algorithms to inflate their ranking. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers recommend that you be particularly cautious when downloading archive files like .zip, which is one of TROJ_AGENT.BCPC's preferred file types. A manual download may not always be necessary; drive-by-download exploits may also install TROJ_AGENT.BCPC without your permission.
There are only two traits that are associated with TROJ_AGENT.BCPC's attacks as symptomatic of its presence, although these characteristics are highly-visible:
- Random characters printing from your printer, seemingly indefinitely. This is caused by files that TROJ_AGENT.BCPC or its payload, ADW_EOREZO, has placed in your printer's spool folder; the resulting code is printed out by your printer automatically. Removing the files will allow your printer to behave normally once again. Shutting off your printer until TROJ_AGENT.BCPC is deleted is a recommended bandaid fix to prevent you from wasting excessive paper and ink.
- Pop-up advertisements, potentially with malicious content, that are displayed by ADW_EOREZO. ADW_EOREZO is installed automatically by TROJ_AGENT.BCPC and will launch itself without your consent. However, TROJ_AGENT.BCPC may be reconfigured to include other PC threats for installation in the future.
Firing This Agent of Paper Waste
As a mid-level PC threat that installs other forms of hostile software, TROJ_AGENT.BCPC should be removed via anti-malware scans that can also delete any other software, like ADW_EOREZO, that TROJ_AGENT.BCPC has installed. Assuming that TROJ_AGENT.BCPC is removed properly, there shouldn't be any risk of permanent damage to your computer, including your printer. Operating systems that are vulnerable to infection by TROJ_AGENT.BCPC include Windows 2K, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.
Having good browser security settings is encouraged by SpywareRemove.com malware analysts as one way to prevent your PC from being infected by TROJ_AGENT.BCPC. This includes scanning files before you download them, disabling exploitable features (like Flash and Java) for suspicious sites and taking care to acquire software updates only from reliable sources.
