Trojan.Bicol is a Trojan that alters the hosts file on the infected computer in order to divert the affected PC user to malicious websites. Trojan.Bicol propagates through a hacked website or third party software program. When Trojan.Bicol is executed, it changes the particular file on the affected computer. Trojan.Bicol changes the hosts file on the corrupted PC so that when computer users request a certain website they are diverted to a malicious website in order to perform a phishing attack. Trojan.Bicol may also download other PC threats from hijacked websites.
