Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Trojan.DarktrackRAT is a remote access Trojan, which is being offered for free on several online forums and blogs related to cybercrime. The authors have released a full version of this product and, unfortunately, it seems that their application packs a list of features that would allow any wannabe cybercriminal to cause severe problems to all users they manage to infect with the Trojan.DarktrackRAT.
Since all sorts of cybercriminals may use a custom server of Trojan.DarktrackRAT to infect victims, it is likely that they might take advantage of a broad range of propagation techniques – social media spam, email spam, fake downloads, pirated software, low-quality torrent sites, etc. The purpose of Trojan.DarktrackRAT is to gain persistence on the victim's machine silently and then provide the remote attacker with the ability to execute a long list of actions on the compromised computer. Some of the primary features of Trojan.DarktrackRAT are:
- Overclock utility, which might tamper with the CPU, GPU or RAM of the remote computer to cause a system crash.
- File manager, which allows the upload, download, and execution of files.
- Remote command prompt access.
- Remote Registry editor
- Screen and camera capture.
- Remote desktop acces
- DDoS utility, which can use several infected computers simultaneously to flood a website or IP address.
Some of Trojan.DarktrackRAT's features allow the remote attacker to infect the computer with additional threats, therefore making this RAT threatening exceptionally. Unfortunately, spotting the Trojan.DarktrackRAT's presence on your PC is very difficult, and the only surefire way to identify and eliminate this threat is to use a trustworthy anti-virus software suite. Anti-virus software also is the best way to ensure that threats like Trojan.DarktrackRAT will never manage to get to your PC in the first place.
