Trojan:HTML/Ransom.D is a ransomware Trojan that spreads via an HTML page, also known as a lock screen. Trojan:HTML/Ransom.D is a component of the ransomware threats such as Interpol Department of Cybercrime Ransomware and FBI Your PC is Blocked Ransomware. Once installed on the compromised PC, Trojan:HTML/Ransom.D displays a fake image/alert on the desktop and blocks the victim from accessing the computer. The bogus pop-up notification generated and displayed by Trojan:HTML/Ransom.D blames computer users for storing illegitimate material on their PCs and demands a ransom from PC users to be paid via Ukash, Paysafecard, Green Dot MoneyPak and Ultimate Game Card to unlock the computer and avoid arrest. A deceptive warning message supposedly comes from a legal institution in an attempt to dupe PC users into believing it is a real alert. You should not pay the fine because this won't help you to restore access to your computer.
