Trojan.Ransomlock.AI is a Trojan that locks the desktop making the targeted computer unusable. Trojan.Ransomlock.AI then asks the attacked PC user to pay a supposed fine to unlock the computer. When executed, Trojan.Ransomlock.AI creates the potentially malicious file. Trojan.Ransomlock.AI then disables task switching and hides the taskbar. Next, Trojan.Ransomlock.AI creates the registry entry so that it can execute whenever Windows is started. Trojan.Ransomlock.AI then creates the registry entry to disable Task Manager. Trojan.Ransomlock.AI then hides the desktop and shows a bogus blue screen asking the computer user to contact a specified QQ number to purchase a password. Next, Trojan.Ransomlock.AI asks the computer user to press the F10 key in order to enter the password and unlock the computer. All other keys may be disabled until the F10 key is pressed.
