Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Trojan.Small is a backdoor Trojan and can download and run worms, rogue security applications, keyloggers and other kinds of malware on your machine. Computers attacked by Trojan.Small are also in danger of being controlled or harmed by remote attackers due to security vulnerabilities created by the Trojan. Prolonged exposure has been reported to cause the complete inaccessibility of the operating system, so deleting Trojan.Small should rank high in importance for any computer user.
Trojan.Small is a PC Threat That Doesn't Stop at Just One Attack
PCs dealing with a Trojan.Small infection will struggle through multiple different attacks and vulnerabilities, as you can see below:
- Trojan.Small will drop additional viruses and other infections onto your machine. The types of further infections are effectively unlimited, but two particularly common Trojan drops are spyware and rogue security applications. Spyware can record keystrokes and other information, while rogue security programs will use fake infection pop-ups to distract and frighten the user.
- In addition to baseline Trojan functions, Trojan.Small may also open a security backdoor for exploitation by remote hackers. This is the popular means by which mass-scale DDoS attacks function, but can also open up abuse for other kinds of system control or damage.
- Trojan.Small has been reported to be able to hide the processes and programs running in Task Manager, preventing you from shutting harmful programs down or even figuring out what's running in the first place.
- In the most extreme cases, Trojan.Small may disable your normal operating system. This can usually be circumvented by booting into Safe Mode, but normal system use can be blocked off until you get around to deleting Trojan.Small.

Avoiding Fighting off Trojan.Small At All
Trojans tend to be injected onto poorly-protected computers by hostile website code; Trojan.Small and similar malware can also infect harmless .exe files or disguise themselves as beneficial programs; in these cases the Trojans are usually distributed via peer to peer networks and the like. If you avoid downloading suspicious files or visiting suspicious sites, you'll be far less likely to get a Trojan.Small infection.
Trojan.Small isn't a very recent Trojan, but Trojan.Small may have new versions distributed that try to circumvent normal anti-malware applications. Keep your scanners updated to have the latest threat definitions to prevent this from happening, and be ready to delete Trojan.Small quickly if it does make its way inside your system.
