Trojan.Vtflooder.HG is a Trojan whose purpose is to infect computers and then use their network connection to upload its payload to an online threat scanning service, probably in an attempt to impair the service's performance or stability. However, keep in mind that Trojans tend to be quite versatile, and other variants of the Trojan.Vtflooder.HG might be used to perform more harmful actions, and threats like this one should never be underestimated. If Trojan.Vtflooder.HG infects a computer, it will create an auto-start Registry key, as well as drop the files 'col.exe', 'ua.reg', 'fw.reg', 'of.reg', and 'hdaudio.exe' to the %TEMP% folder on the victim's machine.

Once started, Trojan.Vtflooder.HG has the ability to connect to a remote server to report the newly infected machine, as well as to begin the process of uploading samples to the file scanning service mentioned above.

Spotting Trojan.Vtflooder.HG's presence is something that even experienced users might not be able to do. The best way to ensure that subtle threats like this one will not ever bother you is to use a reputable and up-to-date anti-virus software.
