Trojan:Win32/Reveton.V is a Trojan that spreads as a dynamic-link library (DLL) file. Trojan:Win32/Reveton.V locks the screen of the affected computer and demands a so-called ransom from victims to unlock the PC. Trojan:Win32/Reveton.V downloads a DLL file that serves as a lock screen. The ransom message of Trojan:Win32/Reveton.V uses the PC user's IP Address and ISP to display the PC user's geographical location. The compressed DLL is stored in a container file. Trojan:Win32/Reveton.V can display the lock screen message with or without Internet access. When installed, Trojan:Win32/Reveton.V makes system changes by downloading potentially malicious files.
