Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Troj/VB-FPL is a Trojan that's spread by corrupted .zip files that are, in turn, propagated by fake invoice e-mail messages. Because Troj/VB-FPL invoice messages use the name of legitimate companies and a spoof website that resembles a legitimate shopping site, you may be lured into installing Troj/VB-FPL by mistake. In such cases, SpywareRemove.com malware experts strongly recommend that you clean your PC with a suitable anti-malware program and remove Troj/VB-FPL, before Troj/VB-FPL can cause real damage. Like other Trojans, Troj/VB-FPL may attack your security settings, allow criminals to control your computer via backdoor exploits or install other types of malicious software. If you find a Troj/VB-FPL fake invoice message in your mailbox, as long as you delete the e-mail message without further interaction, your PC should remain safe from Troj/VB-FPL attacks.
Troj/VB-FPL's Fake Bill... and the Real Price That It Makes You Pay
Troj/VB-FPL has been noted to spread in recent e-mail-based attacks that utilize fake YesAsia.com invoices. YesAsia.com, as a widely-used shopping website, can easily be seen as a legitimate source of invoices, but Troj/VB-FPL's invoice is a fake form that's generated to make you panic about canceling a fee that you did nothing to deserve. Troj/VB-FPL invoices will resemble professional invoice e-mail messages, complete with catalog numbers for products, order numbers, taxes, shipping methods and, of course, a payment method.
This fake invoice provides several links, not to YesAsia.com, but to a spoof site at YesAsia-invoices.com which isn't affiliated with a legitimate company. In fact, SpywareRemove.com malware experts have noted that YesAsia-invoices.com was only registered October 10th, making it an extremely recent addition to the library of online scams. If you fall for the scam and click any of this invoice's links, you'll be directed to a .zip file that contains a Troj/VB-FPL Trojan. Some anti-malware products will also detect the .zip file itself by the label of Mal/BredoZp-B.
Canceling Troj/VB-FPL's Charge to Your PC
If you've opened Troj/VB-FPL's file and installed Troj/VB-FPL before realizing Troj/VB-FPL's nature as a Trojan, you should take appropriate steps to limit Troj/VB-FPL's attacks against your PC before removing Troj/VB-FPL with a good anti-malware product. Like the website Troj/VB-FPL is hosted on, Troj/VB-FPL is a relatively new PC threat and may require the latest threat database updates to be detected. Highly-probable risks from a Troj/VB-FPL infection that SpywareRemove.com malware research team has noted include:
- Loss of control over your PC, due to criminals exploiting backdoor vulnerabilities to control the computer without permission. This measure may be undetectable in terms of visual symptoms, but can be a cause of DDoS attacks, spam, system instability and low system resources.
- Suffering from stolen information, including private data like personal identity-related information or passwords. Troj/VB-FPL may attempt to install keyloggers or other forms of spyware that monitor keystrokes, visual data on the monitor or cached browser information.
- Problems with security-related settings, especially your firewall and network ports.
- Being unable to use security programs, such as anti-malware scanners, Windows Update, MSConfig or Windows Task Manager.
Safe Mode, appropriate usage of anti-malware software and standard anti-malware procedures can delete Troj/VB-FPL from your PC; however, although this may become more difficult than before, the longer you wait to get rid of Troj/VB-FPL.
