TrustedAnalog

TrustedAnalog is an intrusive Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that targets macOS users. TrustedAnalog may be installed as a stand-alone application or an extension for commonly used Web browsers like Google Chrome or Safari. Once TrustedAnalog is up and running, it may manipulate the Web browser's behavior to redirect users to 3rd-party websites, as well as to show advertisements in active Web browser windows. The redirects that TrustedAnalog triggers may occur when you try to access a new tab or your homepage.

The page or pages that TrustedAnalog promotes are likely to be low-quality search engines that will try to convince users that they can rely on their services in the long run. However, the truth is that the search engines associated with TrustedAnalog are not trustworthy – they may show more advertisements than you are used to seeing and promote sponsored search results that should not be the top result you can get.

If you notice the TrustedAnalog software on your macOS device, you should remove it by running a suitable security scanner.
