Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Ukquikdisplay is a browser add-on associated with loading advertisements and redirecting your Web browser, which makes Ukquikdisplay doubly-classifiable as a Potentially Unwanted Program. Malware experts particularly advise removing Ukquikdisplay in light of its history, which involves non-consensual distribution methods, hidden components and poor functionality that could pose a threat to your browser's safety. To date, there is no developer confirmed to be held accountable for any security breaches or performance issues that might arise from any prolonged use of Ukquikdisplay as an add-on.
Ukquikdisplay: a Typical Display of Non-Useful Add-On Behavior
Ukquikdisplay and its North American counterpart, Usquikdisplay, are add-ons for Windows Web browsers that try to control your online traffic or, alternately, load extraneous advertisements. Advertisements from Ukquikdisplay may include various formats, such as pop-up windows or injected banners. Typical dangers that malware researchers find common to similar advertising sources include contact with unsafe 'update' patches that install Trojans, as well as a variety of disguised phishing tactics.
Perhaps more notably than its mere advertisement generation, Ukquikdisplay also has a history for redirecting your Web browser to other websites, instead of just loading extra advertisements in the sites you've loaded already. In most cases, Ukquikdisplay hijacked the user's search settings and homepage settings, resetting them to URLs of its preference. The positive uses of such a 'feature' are extremely low, and the security risks run by these changes are extremely high. Together, these facts play a large part in why malware researchers find uninstalling Ukquikdisplay to be ideal, as with all types of browser hijackers.
A Fast Track out of the Ukquikdisplay Quandary
Ukquikdisplay most often is cited as resisting removal efforts that would be adequate for any legitimate add-on, extension or toolbar. Malware researchers also were displeased to find evidence of Ukquikdisplay's re-setting any attempted reversions of its browser modifications, which allows its hijackings to continue indefinitely. This behavior is common for PUPs that are more interested in exploiting, rather than benefiting, their users. It also is one of the many signals that Ukquikdisplay is worthy of its classification as a PUP and rates as a disadvantage to any Web browser.
Because of its poor history, lack of visible components and efforts at blocking its removal, you should try to delete Ukquikdisplay via appropriate browser-cleaning tools, such as anti-adware scanners. A successful deletion also should restore your browser's settings, allowing you to search with the engine of your choice, use the homepage of your preference and browse the Web without advertisements from Ukquikdisplay interfering.
Prolonged contact with Ukquikdisplay advertisements or associated sites may cause your PC to suffer attacks from third-party threats distributed with Ukquikdisplay's affiliate network. Whenever you remove any PUP with questionable security ethics attached to Ukquikdisplay, malware researchers encourage scanning your entire PC with anti-malware tools, as well.
