Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Ultimate Popup Killer is a browser add-on, which is described as one-of-a-kind way to stop pop-ups from bothering you while you browse the Web. The official download page of the extension states that it is unlike other software of this sort, because it does not block important pop-ups provided by legitimate websites, and it barely uses any system resources, therefore, minimizing the impact it has on the computer's performance. While we can't either confirm or deny these statements, we can say that the Ultimate Popup Killer's installation may lead to unwanted changes to your browser's configuration.
The 'Frequently Asked Questions' on the Ultimate Popup Killer's website reveals that users who opt to install this software will have their default Web browser's homepage set to Searchby.net. The peculiar thing is that this change is irreversible since the Ultimate Popup Killer will continue to apply this change as soon as it starts. There are only two workarounds – either remove the Ultimate Popup Killer or purchase the 'premium' version for $12. Needless to say, you should not agree to spend money on ad-blocking or pop-up blocking software when there are countless free alternatives that will not force you to use a 3rd-party website whenever you launch your Web browser.
If you have installed the Ultimate Popup Killer and you would like to stop using it and restore your Web browser's homepage, then we advise you to consider the Ultimate Popup Killer's removal. It should be possible to remove this software manually, but if you want to fully ensure its removal, then you should use a suitable PC security scanner that can deal with Potentially Unwanted Programs.
